A Taoist home in the
South Pacific
Founded in 2024, the Federation of Taoist Associations New Zealand nurtures Taoist culture in the pristine land of Aotearoa. Through the core ideals of “oneness between humanity and nature” and “the Tao following nature,” we foster understanding and harmony across cultures and faiths.
On 15 December 2024, we held our founding ceremony at Victoria Park in central Auckland and offered a blessing for the people and government of New Zealand. With the support of the wider community, we take part in community life and charitable work — serving society in the compassionate spirit of the Tao.

Pursuing the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature, spreading the core ideal of stillness and non-action, and finding balance in modern life.

Following a tradition of respect for nature, advocating ecological conservation and sustainable development, and safeguarding New Zealand's green hills and clear waters.
