The Federation of Taoist Associations New Zealand is locally rooted and globally oriented. As a charitable religious organisation lawfully registered in New Zealand, it is dedicated to promoting Taoist culture, carrying forward the orthodox spirit of Taoism, and providing cultural, spiritual, and inner support to society and the community.

The Federation of Taoist Associations New Zealand is an orthodox Taoist charitable religious organisation officially registered with the government, and an important institution for the inheritance and promotion of orthodox Taoism. Rooted in New Zealand and oriented towards the world, we are committed to promoting Taoist culture, carrying forward the orthodox spirit of Taoism, and — through charitable, cultural, and educational activities — providing spiritual support and cultural identity for the community.

I. Upholding the Orthodox Taoist Tradition

The Taoist system we carry on is rooted in the Chinese Taoist tradition. From the Taoist classics and practices of self-cultivation to traditional rituals and devotions, it remains pure, rigorous, and authentic, emphasising the path of "cultivating oneself, establishing virtue, and benefiting the world." Upholding the core Taoist ideals of "stillness and non-action" and "harmony between heaven and humanity," we bring authentic, traditional, solemn, and pure Taoist culture to believers and the public through lectures, cultural courses, guidance in practice, and charitable religious services.
